...and cheering.
I should start off and say I never thought my child was cut out for gymnastics.
Cheering.
Why?
Well, take a look at this photo.
From years past. I enrolled Savy in a nine week ballet, tap and tumbling class.
Let's just say, some of the other mom's felt that the rambunctiousness of a certain child was having a effect on their children's learning.
Class cancelled.
Ballet, tap and tumbling not for the girlie.

This child just wants to run and jump.
When I found out Savy's school was having a 3 day cheer camp, I researched options on how to let her participate. There was only one spot left. It all worked out and I got her in.
She loved it. The other night we were driving home and she said,
"Uhhh mama, I know I'm only seven, but I'm still nervous and excited about our performance.".
That left me speechless for a millo-second and I said your gonna have fun, just enjoy it.
Today was the day.
Come home from work, run some errands, pick up the girlie and make sure she has a snack and then countdown to performance time.
There were Hot Rollers to begin the do process. Ha~!
We got to the school and signed her in and got her cheer shirt. (Funny to me how the shirt she wore for spirt day was a cheer shirt from a couple years ago at the school).

2nd graders with the High School Cheer coaches.
Getting ready for half time and the girls to perform.
SUPER BLURRY and Fuzzy but Savy is on the end. Getting ready for showtime.
Sorry for the blurryness.
And after the performance, all of 5min, we headed home.
I had prebaked dinner, and it was waiting.
I had to finish it up for with only 30 min to go.
Can I just tell you guys, we had the best baked potatoes ever.
Here's for you to know that the perfect baked potato:
400' for 90 min.
I added butter, sour cream and pink Himalayan sea salt and pepper.
So yum.
Savy and I had lentils to our dinner.
Well, I'll be off line for the next 2 days.
We are headed to San Diego midday for the Holiday weekend.
Next up over here at "A new reality a New Destiny....Another Georgia Peach"

How cool that Savannah is into cheer already. She is such an energetic girl that this seems right up her alley. Have fun on your weekend away.
P.S. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. That was so nice.
I'd say cheering is for her then. Plus it combines dance and acrobatics.
Did she enjoy the performance?
How fun for both of you.
To get out there in front of a crowd and perform is such a great learning experience.
Well done Mom!
