Re-Organizing.
With having Savannah and I sharing a room, I can get bent super easy with the clutter and disorganization.
Drives me nuts.
Can't stand it.
So one night I just started pulling clothing out and putting it away.
All before 10:15pm.
Ok, I confess it was 10:00pm.
I slept better because of it.
Ha.
I then looked around the already crowded room and thought to self, "Hey self, lets get all these books put away". Where though? I left the answer till the next day when I found this white, perfectly fine bookcase at Goodwill for $9.
Works for what we need, right now.
And since Savannah used to call Goodwill, "Oldwill" no really, she did.
I think the hint was loud and clear when this came in the mail.
Hey Sunset, I used to read your magazine, but dunno now.
Ha Ha....I've got a seven year old at home...And I'm not the Grandma either.
And I might have felt somewhat older when I reported for duty for a all day assignment helping one of my sister's out.
She was moving cross country and needed someone at the house all day for the packup.
I arrived, conquered, mission accomplished.
But first I had to get some hot coffee in me.
The world looked bleak and grim. Took on a black and white perception.
Then the starbucks kicked in and ahhhh all was right in the world.
Car in the driveway on a rainy day, check.
So, being that I was there, I thought I would push my weight around.
You know, share with the boys about my "skills".
Ha.
Oh, ok, I Kept my mouth shut when I found out the packers were "PROFESSIONALS".
How many packers do you come across and work on a celebrity clients homes????
These guys worked over at Arnold's Casa.
As in Terminator Arnold.

I was sharing tricks of the trade with these young men. "Ahhh Lady we have it all dialed in, it's all good" "We can take it from here".
They were kind when I suggested I color code all the boxes for my niece and nephew and have a template going with the cartons to match up with everything.
You know it makes things unloading off the truck super easy.
Ha!
And then when we discussed the brown packing paper and the markers and
said, "Sorry, there's only enough for the three of us".
(Totally joking, but if you know me, my sister's are probably saying, OMGosh VI-O-LA,....you suggested what to them about their job?). Ha!
I didn't and that's the truth.
I didn't and that's the truth.
Like the Beatles song goes, "Let it be, let it be"...I did I just let them do their thing. Ha!
I acquired some new gently worn plants.
Yippee for me.
How do you take houseplants cross country?
I've always heard this is something you just give away.
Which Deneen did.
Thank you sister.
All buckled in for the ride to Temecula.
There was even a special vendor that came and packed up the TV.
Now this is what I call, "Lets pack it up and move'm out"....
Savannah grabbed the camera and was sharing her freedom of expression with me...oh and you too, since the packers put my on a time out. You know there's only enough brown wrapping paper and sharpies to go around to the paid staff. Ha.
Ohhhhh ok, So it's not like I got pushed to the side, just to the stairs, and my professional opinion wasn't needed, ah-hummm.
And I got a Ladder back. It was my late husbands. When I moved in with Deneen when Dennis died, all his tools and stuff were in the garage. In my move out I kept saying I will get the ladder some day.
Someday was last Thursday.
The Pro Packers actually are from Temecula.
They took the ladder to their office.
I actually picked it up today.
They actually hauled away all my sister's old cardboard in the garage, and rolled out the red carpet for me. Ha. Seriously this carpet stuff was used on the hardwood floors to protect it.
So I then share that this week has been, uh...I'm lacking a colorful expression for what the work week has been, let's just say I earned my $ a hour and I'm spent.
I can say I worked the job in the morning for 3 hrs, then pulled two shifts at Savannah's school on Tues, Wed. I'm tired....
However since I was there monitoring the lunch hour, I grabbed my camera for later in the day and thought I would snap some of Savy and how our day started on Tuesday;
6:15am is mighty earlier for her, but I have to keep her on schedule. A hot breakfast is in order.

Savy walking towards me when she see's me as the new lunch lady. Ha.

Explaining to a classmate this is what my mom packed for hot lunch today. Ha!
Meanwhile back at the Ranch....
Savannah went into her room tonight, found a quiet spot, sat down and worked on Multiplication.
She has never expressed before that she wanted it quiet to work on something. Wow. So much like Dennis.
She only had two that needed to be fixed.
2nd grade and doing multiplication. Amazing. Proud of you Savy!
Have a terrific rest of the week.
Thank you for following along.

I need to do some reorganzing myself just haven't gotten around to it. I like the bookcase you got from GoodWill. We have one here but I haven't been in a long time.
I hope you have a good weekend!
Love, love, love seeing all your pictures. I had to laugh with you going to tell the pros how to pack up your sister's house. Don't they realize you are a professional too? And so nice they finally realized it and rolled out the red carpet for you. Ha, ha!
Have a good weekend, Viola!
Hi Viola!
Loved seeing all the pictures in this post! Ahhh moving I've done that many times... I wish your sister well! Of course I don't think I ever got the red carpet treatment, lol!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Jill
