Area 51...

...no, but I'm officially 51.
Ha!
Can't believe a year has flown by and I'm writing a blog post on my birthday.

Last year I had seven of my eight siblings write something here on the blog, along with my two best friends and the mama.

This morning, I woke up to Savy saying, "it's your birthday".

So what do we have planned?
My dear sweet friend Olivia is making me breakfast. She's invited Savy and I over for a traditional mexican breakfast of Chiliquiles.
Savy has a day off from school since it's a in-service staff day so she gets to hang out with me.

I then have a birthday lunch to attend that the girls from the one bible study group are putting on.

The rest of the day will unfold with no plans.

I love this card that my sister Gloria sent me.
It's got two lil girlies sharing something from childhood.

I should write a blog post when I wore my sister Gloria's coat to school.
The card seemed so appropriate.

Check out the chipmunk card. Savannah picked this out herself.
She x'd out the girl and wrote the word Mom over it.
I actually have all my cards up on this shelf.

If I had one birthday wish it would be for my son Jacob to grow up and think of how precious time is and to remember family.
I didn't hear from him last year, and I no this year won't be any different.
Just gotta keep praying for him.

God bless you and yours!

My son isn't getting in touch for my birthday either. Somehow I'm just excepting it. Go figure. I've known by his attitude things were not getting better. So...I do say prayers for him but do not expect things to change in the way he thinks of me.

I am happy that you had such a nice birthday and so many pretty cards and people who love you. Each person who cares for us is so important.
