Savannah's....

...Open house is what we are blogging about.

Can't believe it's 100 days have past since school starting.
Along with a Spring break on the Horizon.
With that to look forward to, you have to throw in a a Open House, 2013.
With a Open House there are special projects.
The 2nd grade class at Linfield did a Lighthouse project as a way of learning about a family from the 1800's, that lived in a lighthouse, and they had a daughter named Abbie, age eight.

Each of the children got to choose the lighthouse they wanted to build.
I told Savannah we could do ours on the "Old Point Loma Lighthouse" as a way to remember our roots from our hometown of San Diego.
Notice how I said, 'we'.
That's due to the instructions that said,
"Parent participation highly encouraged".
So instead of parent participation we got the Grandparents involved.
Participating.
Savannah spent all day last Saturday at her Grandparents home constructing this masterpiece.
Grandpa David did a awesome job as project manager.
He shared with me how they mapped out what the needed based on the project.
EVERYTHING was recycled from in and outside the house.

Here's the pictures;

Here's Savy pointing to her Career doll.
Now I had fun with this.
I had Savy cut out the foam fabric.
I did the hot gluing.
She cut all the yarm for her hair. Too cute.

We got a couple pics of Randomness from open house too;

Mrs. Craig her former teacher. Also our landlord.

With her friend Lydia.
Other career dolls!

They also held a book fair this past week.

Leaving the Elementary Campus to drive over to the Middle school.
Thank you for dropping by this side of the Road.
